K-5 Residents
The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District is proud to offer a virtual education program, R7 Elementary Online Academy, to K-5 students across the State of Missouri.
Lee's Summit R-7 Schools is recognized nationally for its quality educational programs and commitment to success for all students. Our goal is for students to build a solid academic foundation from which they can move forward to the next grade level. Our instructional staff is eager to support and assist students in reaching their full potential and academic success.
In R7 Elementary Online Academy, students receive daily instruction from Missouri-certified teachers with extensive knowledge and experience with virtual instruction and curriculum development. R7EOA students have access to all of the instructional resources available to their in-person peers. However, instruction is differentiated and tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. Our small class sizes afford personalized instruction and strong partnerships between school and home.
Students in R7EOA start and end their day with a classroom meeting, and the remainder of the day is a combination of live lessons in a variety of group sizes, as well as time to work independently or in small virtual groups.
There are no resources or collections to display
Just as in an in-person classroom, students have opportunities to read, write, work on mathematics and explore topics in science, social studies and other areas of interest. Students participate in a rotation of art, music, and physical education.
In addition to educating our local resident students, R7 Elementary Online Academy is a state-approved Missouri Course Access and Virtual School Program (MOCAP). We are proud to offer online learning to students across the State of Missouri.
