Elementary MOCAP

Any student residing within the State of Missouri may enroll in R-7 Online Academy.  The full-time elementary program serves students in grades K–5, and the high school program serves students in grades 9-12.

R-7 Online Academy students must apply and complete registration before the following dates:

Fall 2024 Registration will be open July 19th to September 27th. The first day of school will be August 21st.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration for out-of-district students may take up to a week to complete due to record verifications and post office operations. 

Spring 2025 Registration will be open until February 17th. 

Students enrolled in R-7 Online Academy may return to their home district school during the school year.

R-7 Online Academy does not enroll students outside of the registration windows.

A Dell Chromebook 5190 2-in-1 is provided to each student enrolled in R-7 Online Academy. 

Internet access is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

In R-7 Elementary Online Academy, students receive daily instruction from highly qualified teachers having extensive knowledge and experience with virtual instruction and curriculum development. R-7 Online Academy students have access to all of the instructional resources available to their in-person peers, however instruction is differentiated and tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. Our small class sizes afford personalized instruction and strong partnerships between school and home.

Your student will be required to appear in-person for a MAP testing session at the end of the school year. These will take place in a set Lee's Summit location, or by arrangement at a testing place local to the student.

Students are expected to engage with their class material on a daily basis, and communicate with teachers directly if they are struggling to do so. Failure to show academic progress or attendance in our access logs will result in an enrollment drop from our program and a notification that they must return to their resident district school.
