Secondary MOCAP (6-12)

Any student residing within the state of Missouri may enroll in R-7 Online Academy.  

R-7 Online Academy students must apply and complete registration before the following dates:

Spring 2026 Registration will be open until February 17th. 

PLEASE NOTE: Registration for out-of-district students may take up to a week to complete due to record verifications and post office operations. 

R-7 Online Academy does not enroll students outside of our listed registration windows, BUT

Students enrolled in R-7 Online Academy may return to their home district school during the school year.

Students are expected to engage with their class material on a daily basis, and communicate with teachers directly if they are struggling to do so.

Failure to show academic progress or attendance in our access logs for 10 instructional day will result in an enrollment drop from our program and a notification that they must return to their resident district in-person school.

A Dell Chromebook 5190 2-in-1 is provided to each student enrolled in R-7 Online Academy. 

Internet access is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

Your student will be required to meet with our staff in-person at the end of the year for any mandatory state MAP or End of Course (EOC) testing. Testing site options are typically: Lee's Summit, St. Joseph, Springfield, Columbia, or St. Louis.

Middle school MAP testing is required for Grades 6-8 and covers Math, English, and Science.

EOC testing is a graduation requirement for Grades 9-12 in the following classes, once the class has been completed with us: Algebra I, Algebra II (if applicable), Biology, English 10 (English II), and American Government.

In R-7 Elementary Online Academy, students receive daily instruction from highly qualified teachers who have extensive knowledge and experience with virtual instruction and curriculum development. 

R-7 Online Academy students have access to all of the instructional resources available to their in-person peers, however instruction is differentiated and tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. Our smaller class sizes afford more personalized instruction and strong partnerships between school and home.
